New York City - Summer 2005
Last weekend I drove up to New York City to visit my aunt and my parents. The highlight of the trip by far was last Saturday night when my parents and I were invited to a birthday party. My aunt is one of the leads in the Broadway show “The Producers”. The birthday party was for one of the girls in the show at a club in the lower east side of Manhattan called “Sin Sin”.
In short I got to party with 10 or so Broadway dancer types, my Aunt, and my Parents until about 5 am.
Las Vegas - 4th of July 2005
I flew out to Las Vegas for the 4t of July weekend to visit Kyle and Andrea. I don’t know how many of you have ever been to the southwest. Its a pretty nice place I guess if you like the desert, but holy hell was it hot.
Adam's trip to Wyoming
These are pictures of Adam's Sophomore retreat to a Dude Ranch in Wyoming. I'm not sure why I have them.
Sailing
The other day my friend Josh invited me to go sailing his yacht. I didn’t really know what quite to expect, but I turned out to be a great time. He taught us how to sail the thing and even let me steer the rudder for a bit. That is until we were headed straight for a reef. He told me to “cut it hard” so I did. I saved the boat, but managed to throw myself off of it. Ha ha.
Flat Stanley
My cousin Molly sent her Flat Stanley to me to visit for a while. While Stanley was with us my Dad and Adam also came out to have some fun.
Deep Sea Fishing
I went Deep Sea fishing over my spring break on a charter sport fishing boat with six other people. It was easily one of the best times I’ve had since I’ve been here. The day went like this. Wake up 4am. Catch a ride to the shadiest part of the island (Leeward Side). The directions to the dock included, “Make a left at the homeless shanty town.” We all boarded the boat at around 6am, and settled in for a nice cruise out to the west of Oahu. The sunrise was absolutely amazing, but I was too groggy to think to snap any pictures of it, sorry.
